Dierdre' R. Parker is an IACC Certified Life Coach, a former NC Certified Peer Support Specialist and Ordained Elder in the AME Zion Church. She is the author of 10 books and editor of a Collection of poetry ( A Collection of SISTAHS). An Award winning Spoken Word Artist. A lover of in community theater, she has played the roles of Sofia (The Color Purple 2011,2023), Mama Euralie (Once on this Island), Motormouth Maybelle (Hairspray) and Evilene (The Wiz).
Her passion is helping others, especially women, to find their voices and thereby their personal power. Through her training and her own personal experiences of trial and triumph. She has created and facilitated workshops on Mindset (Mindset Reset), positivity (How to get Rid of ANTS: Automatic Negative Thinking Syndrome), and on being single (What if I never Get Married).
Her desire to share her experiences and her love of the arts inspired her to write and produce a one woman show of her triumph over adversity titled Becoming Diva: Unpacking the Junk in the Trunk. The show was a multimedia experience scored with the soundtrack of her life by Brandon "Bigg B" Hickman of WMNX Coast 97.3, Wilmington, NC.
Dierdre', as DIVA, (Delivered Inspired Victorious Anointed) hosted Morning Coffee with Diva on Coast 97.3 in Wilmington, NC. from 2015-2022. The show featured inspirational music and commentary to jump start your day in a positive and uplifting way. Diva continues Morning Coffee on all her social media platforms.

She is a walking talking example of Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to God's purpose.
She is grateful for grace.
In 2022 Dierdre accepted a position as editor of Entertainment & The Arts at the Star of Zion Magazine, the global voice of the AME Zion Church. She is excited to bring her unique perspective to this position and to serve in a different capacity.
