Dierdre' R. Parker-Rowson is an IACC Certified Life Coach, Peer Support Specialist and Ordained Elder in the AME Zion Church.  She is the author of 9 books and editor of a Collection of poetry ( A Collection of SISTAHS).  As an Award winning Spoken Word Artist, she is  active in community theater and has played the roles of Sofia (The Color Purple), Mama Euralie (Once on this Island), Motormouth Maybelle (Hairspray) and Evilene (The Wiz).

Her passion is helping others, especially women, to find their voices and thereby their personal power through her training (BA in Psychology, MDiv) and her own personal experiences of trial and triumph.  She has created and facilitated workshops on Mindset (Mindset Reset), positivity (How to get Rid of ANTS: Automatic Negative Thinking Syndrome), and on being single (What if I never Get Married).

Her desire to share her experiences and her love of the arts inspired her to write and produce a one woman show of her triumph over adversity titled Becoming Diva: Unpacking the Junk in the Trunk.  The show was a multimedia experience scored with the soundtrack of her life by Brandon "Bigg B" Hickman of WMNX Coast 97.3, Wilmington, NC.

Dierdre', as DIVA, is the host of Morning Coffee with Diva on Coast 97.3 in Wilmington, NC.  The show features inspirational music and commentary to jump start your day in a positive and uplifting way.
Dierdre' is available for group or one-on-one coaching sessions, Motivational Speaking, Women's and Youth Conferences. ( see contact page)

Dierdre' holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UNC Wilmington and A Master of Divinity from James Walker Hood Theological Seminary. She is Pastor of Terrell's Chapel AME Zion Church in Pittsboro, NC.

In September of 2021, Dierdre' married her long lost love after a 36 year estrangement and now enjoys evenings playing scrabble, dominoes and throwing darts.  She is a walking talking example of Romans 8:28.  And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to God's purpose.
She is grateful for grace.
